HMG103 it has two survival knives a sheath and a fire starter. With this little setup you can take the smaller knife and unwind the OD cord split a limb to make a spear using the OD cord to lace around the stick you had a weapon.

Surviving

1. When surviving heat is one of the most important things heat for warmth & cooking (note:you have your Fire Starter.)

2. When surviving, protection is of utmost importance. (note: you have your small knife)

3. When surviving, forging for food is right up there with # 1. & 2. (note: you still have your larger knife)

If you have these 3 things you have a very high chance of making it.

Another Plus you can take the cord off the larger knife to use for binding or for making a snare for small animals.

You could also use the cord to help in making a shelter

There are a number of uses for the knife combination I have chosen. They are Full Tang blades. They are balanced because of their blade design this makes the a good throwing knife and you can slip them into you boot. (boot knife)
